three poisons

Anger

Wrath is related to the three poisons in Buddhism. Poisons are hidden defects that contribute to negative karma and keep human beings in misery. Anger is a negative emotion and feeling that is the cause of suffering in life. These poisons may be interconnected; people get angry because of their attachments, ignorance, lack of understanding, and powerful inner reactions or aversion to something.

The emotion itself is destructive to the host; if the feeling is high, it has enough energy potential to damage the energy body on the level of Anahata Chakra. Energy traumas here lead to further emotional imbalances, one of them being an excessive angered state. Wrath is a yang outburst; it feels like holding live coals; even if a person manages to throw those at someone, he will burn himself in the first place. Powerful emotions cloud the mind and worsen the judgment of the situation, leading human beings to make mistakes in life. The energy sent into the world comes back as an echo, and if it is negative energy, it will come back even worse, increasing suffering in life.

Usually, those emotions have a point of application. If one person goes mad, others may too, and people collide with each other being emotional. This collision causes severe traumas of energy bodies that are not being noticed or seen. Ordinary people think it was just a conflict, just a scandal, they were just a bit emotional and inadequate, or maybe they even believe it is okay to behave like this in certain situations. It looks like nothing serious as long as the physical body is not damaged. Those traumas do not go away, do not heal, and accumulate throughout their lifetime. Emotions rule the body, and negative emotions disrupt its proper functioning. Anger primarily destroys and condenses negative energy in the liver energy channel or meridian, damaging and weakening this inner organ.

Wrath and Anger are always a result of inner personality problems. The thing is that under strong emotions, it is not a person controlling himself, but emotions have control over the person.

The key thing to understand is that a mind can be only in one state at a time. If a person is angry and disturbed, if he is boiling, that means at the exact moment, he is not calm, peaceful, and happy, although he could be. Negative emotions are consequences of having no awareness and lack of development. Mages learn to monitor and take their emotional level under control through daily discipline and practice. Wiping out negative emotions and disciplining the mind makes a tremendous difference in the quality of life and creates conditions for spiritual growth. Development in Magic requires emotional stability and awareness.
